Here are the updated standings of MLS:
Toronto FC
After getting rid of two stalwarts of the starting 11 in
Silva and O’Dea, the results fell in line with what you would think would
happen with a horrible 1-0 loss to Chivas USA, who was a man down for an hour
and a nil-nil draw with New York Red Bulls.
Both games had the same story of TFC having a few chances but not being
able to finish off any of them while the other sides were able to take
advantage of the chance they got, if it was not for an incorrect offside call
on Tim Cahill Toronto would have lost both games this week. TFC has gotten so predictable that when
Chivas USA broke out on the counter attack I said “Here it comes” and sure enough
Chivas scored the only goal of the game.
With these results TFC dropped 5 points off both max points and points
til eliminated; thankfully Houston did not play this week and could not raise
the 5th place points.
Movers of the Week
The biggest risers of the week were LA Galaxy with a win and
a Seattle draw that moved them five points closer to clinching a playoff spot. Sporting Kansas City rose 6 points with a win
of their own and a loss by New England Revolution lowering the highest max
points’ team by 3. While Seattle dropped
4 points closer to being eliminated from playoff contention after their draw
and 5th place team moving up 2 points, and as previously stated TFC
dropped 5 points this week.
